GLOBAL COLOR ATTRIBUTION STUDY
engaged by a foremost global supplier of pharmaceutical excipients and services
with the challenge to develop a scientific dataset of global color-attribute associations to support commercial decisions
scope: 12 months
The company provides color coating to all pharmaceutical companies’ tablet products where color has to best represent desired attributes of the branded drug to positively impact differentiation, sales, user compliance and combating the industry-wide problem of counterfeit. LH COLOR was charged to develop the empirically substantiated knowledge base of global color-attribute associations. This research project involved the development of a comprehensive literature review, a study protocol for a global audience, and the management of this largest-of-its-kind study in 12 jurisdictions across the world, including sampling 2000+ subjects, data collection, and analyzing and publishing results in the leading academic, peer-reviewed Color Research and Application Journal.
A STUDY OF COLOR EFFICACY IN BUILT ENVIRONMENTS
engaged by a global office furniture manufacturer
with the challenge to provide empirical support for the efficacy of color in multiple built environments
scope: 4 months
The company portfolio presents furnishing solutions to multiple commercial and public environments from workplace to hospitality, education and healing. LH COLOR was retained to conceptualize and identify empirical support for the role color plays in such environments to support their design objectives. The project involved researching multiple sets of literature pertaining to the individual environment’s goals and user behavior; identifying color considerations and research findings relevant to these environments; and presenting an overall substantiated conceptualization of how color design supports and enhances the efficacy of each environment. Results were also presented at the AIC (spell out) global conference and were published in conference proceedings as well as industry publications.
